We find the goal and purpose of ministry in the church at the end of verse 12 in Ephesians chapter 4. We are told that the goal and purpose of ministry is to build up the body of Christ: “…to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…” (Ephesians 4:12)

Each body part serves a different purpose. The hand does not have the same function as the foot. The brain does not have the same function as the heart. The leg does not have the same function as the arm. Each body part works harmoniously in concert in order to further the mission of the person. Similarly, in the church, the members must use all their gifts and talents to build up the body of Christ. We must all be actively engaged in the area of ministry in which Jesus has called us.

    Community Service

We desire to be good neighbors. One way to be neighborly is by providing services to the surrounding community. We do that by gathering and preparing clothing, food and other supplies for those who may be experiencing a difficult season in their lives.
